動画編集ソフトPiTiViの最新版に触れてみる

初心者向けというだけあってUbuntuはかなりユーザフレンドリーなLinuxだ。
アップデートまでＧＵＩでできちゃったりして、うっかりするとせっかく覚えたコマンドも忘れちゃうくらい楽ちんだ。下手すると「コマンドって何？」ってくらい・・・さすがにそこまでいくと認知症か。とにかく楽ちんだ。

ただひとつ、難点をあげるとすれば「アプリケーションがバージョンアップしても追いかけない」ってことかな。半年に一度Ubuntu自体が更新されるから、その都度最新のモノにしていけばいいのかもしれない。でもLTSを使いたい続けたいなんて希望もあるんだな。そして時間が経つとちょいと古い環境が出来上がったりするワケだ。

それならすべてをdaily buildにしてみるか？なにもソコまでしなくとも”欲しいモノを欲しいだけ”最新にするという方法が紹介されていたので備忘録を兼ねて記録しておく。

今回取り組んでみたのはPiTiViという動画編集ソフト。
Ubuntu10.04LTSではすでに標準装備になっている。それはそれでイジらずにとっておいて、テスト環境をつくってそこにmakeして使う。不要になったらディレクトリごと削除しちゃえばいいみたいなので、あと始末も楽ちんってわけだ。

まずは現行バージョンを確認してみる。「0．13.4」となっていた。
それではインストールログをコピペする。

バージョンを確認してみると・・・ほんのちょっとだけ上がってる！
実際に使ってみると最後のコンマ１がどのくらい”進化”をしているのかがわかると思う。こうしてアプリケーションはどんどんと進化していくんだなと、ヲイラちょっとだけ感動したょ。


それと、せっかくなのでテスト用に編集した動画もアップロードしておく。
ご覧いただくとわかると思うが、こんなふうにPiTiViには静止画も入れることができる。”動画編集ソフト”だからってムービーがないと使えないワケじゃないんだな。せっかくついているんだから、用途に合わせて使わせてもらおうぜぃ！
